Candied Jalapeños

Sweet-and-spicy jalapeño slices, candied in small batches — sweet up front, with real jalapeño heat right behind it (not tamed down). Pile them on hot dogs, burgers, bratwurst, and sandwiches, chop them into burger patties or stack them on top, add them to salads and chicken salad, use them to garnish deviled eggs — or just eat them straight from the jar.
